Q: What’s going on in your life right now that motivated you to do a session?
Miss M:  I don’t know, I came across some social media photos and I thought it would be something fun to do, but the more I thought about it, the more it seemed like a great way to boost my self-image. I have a very un-glamorous job and am always in work clothes, hair pulled back, no makeup….. a boudoir session seemed like fun and just what I needed to help me feel beautiful.

Q: Besides beautiful photographs, what else did you hope to get out of the experience?
Miss M: Honestly, I did not give it a lot of thought at the beginning. It was after our first meeting that I started to feel like it would be a great experience for me as a woman, to boost my self-confidence and accept myself and my body the way I am.

Q: How long had you been considering doing a shoot before you booked yours? What was the final push? What did it feel like to finally book your session?
Miss M:  I thought about it for a couple of months. I shopped around and compared photos from several Ottawa photographers. I talked to another photographer, but I absolutely loved your images from the arts perspective, so that’s why I decided to book with you.
Once I booked, i started to feel very excited.

Q: Before your session, how would you describe your relationship with your body, your beauty and your sensuality?
Miss M: As I mentioned, my job is very un-glamorous and I work very long hours, which leaves me with little time to dress up, and go out. I am also single, so I typically wear jeans and very little make-up. By consequence, I don’t usually feel that sexy or glamorous.

Q: How did doing a session affect how you feel about your body, your beauty and your sensuality?
Miss M:  I have always felt that my body is not that beautiful,  but doing this session has helped me see myself in a different light. From the moment I started to think about what to choose for wardrobe and trying different outfits on, I started to see myself differently and also feel more beautiful. After doing the session, I felt way more confident and accepting about my body. And after seeing the photos, I KNOW that I am beautiful!

Q: What were you worried about before your session? What helped to overcome that?
Miss M: Well, I am a shy person, so showing myself almost bare was a bit troubling, but you were very professional in our meeting, and that made me feel more comfortable.

Q: Tell me about your session day: How did you feel on your way over? What were your favorite parts? How did you feel on the way home?
Miss M: On the way to the session I felt a bit nervous but very excited. I think my favourite part was posing and imagining the outcome, but also thinking….. “is this really me? AM I really doing this?” After I left, I felt like I had done something really good for myself, and not from the photo-taking part of it, but from the self-confidence boosting part of it.

Q: What were you feeling when you saw your photos at the viewing?
Miss M:  I could not believe that was me. I really was blown away. The photos were so beautiful!

Q: Why did you decide to hire me as your photographer?
Miss M: You were very professional every step of the process. Once I met you, I felt VERY comfortable with you.

Q: If your friend were considering doing a shoot, what would you say to encourage her?
Miss M: I would absolutely say GO FOR IT! This was something I would encourage EVERY woman to do AT LEAST once!!!
