As an Ottawa’s premier Retro PinUp photography studio, I meet many different women from all ages and at different stages in their lives. Meet Miss B! This beauty came to Je m’adore fine art portraits because she was embarking on a new journey in her life after finding love again. She had reconnected with someone from her past and not only wanted but needed to feel beautiful and confident. Here is her story:

Q: What’s going on in your life right now that motivated you to do a session?
Miss B: I am a widow that recently starting dating a man from my past “the one that got away”, so to speak. I am not a size two and wanted to do something special for myself and him.
Q: Besides beautiful photographs, what else did you hope to get out of the experience?
Miss B: I needed to feel beautiful and confident.
Q: How long had you been considering doing a shoot before you booked yours? What was the final push? What did it feel like to finally book your session?
Miss B: I got the idea for a Christmas present, then researched and came across Je m’adore fine art portraits. It was very easy and Suzanne answered all questions and made me very comfortable. After I booked I was excited and couldn’t wait for my day!!!

Q: Before your session, how would you describe your relationship with your body, your beauty and your sensuality?
Miss B: I avoid mirrors cuz I am over weight, I don’t go shopping for clothes because it’s depressing.
Q: What were you worried about before your session? What helped to overcome that?
Miss B: I am self conscious about my mid section and just wanted to look glamorous. Suzanne is a professional and I was confident that she would only take pictures that made me look beautiful.
Q: Tell me about your session day: How did you feel on your way over? What were your favorite parts? How did you feel on the way home?
Miss B: I was so excited, I had been collecting items to make it personal for our story. I choose to do a calendar. I was pampered as soon as I walked threw the door, and had a wonderful day. I was exhausted on the way home but felt beautiful and INVINCEABLE!
Q: How did doing a session affect how you feel about your body, your beauty and your sensuality?
Miss B: I am waaaaay more confident and comfortable with my body.

Q: What were you feeling when you saw your photos at the viewing?
Miss B: I was nervous at first but was excited that so many were great (so much so that I had a hard time narrowing it down!)
Q: Why did you decide to hire me as your photographer?
Miss B: Suzanne made me feel comfortable from the start, and was always very professional but fun at the same time. Knew you would be the one to bring me out of my shell.
Q: If your friend were considering doing a shoot, what would you say to encourage her?
Miss B: It’s a wonderful experience from start to finish and I think different people could gain different things from it. But I feel everyone should experience this AT LEAST once!
