I love meeting new people in my studio…. I especially love surpassing expectations! Many women come into my studio with oodles of nerves (which is VERY normal) but we take that energy and use transform it into positivity and a sense of empowerment. Here’s a testimonial from a recent client:
“Doing a Boudoir photo shoot with Je m’adore fine art portraits was a great experience! I had no modelling training or experience, but it was not needed since Suzanne helped me every step of the way. I felt comfortable the entire time, and was quite pleasantly surprised at the results! Couldn’t believe it was me actually! I will admit I was very skeptical before seeing the proofs, I don’t normally wear very much make up, and at the time I felt that her make up artist put a little too much on me, but you can trust that they know what they are doing! I couldn’t be happier with the end product! Thanks Suzanne and Ariana! Already looking forward to the next shoot!”
– Miss J
The journey with Je m’adore fine art portraits always begins with a consultation. It involves meeting face to face and discussing ideas for her session, how to prepare, what to bring and sometimes the reasons why they are doing it (NOT that you need a special reason or occasion!). In an attempt to help future clients conquer their fears of doing a boudoir session, I asked the following questions to Miss J after her session:
Q: What’s going on in your life right now that motivated you to do a session?
Miss J: I have a long distance relationship. My boyfriend lives in California. I thought these pictures would be nice for him when we are apart.
Q: Besides beautiful photographs, what else did you hope to get out of the experience?
Miss J: It was a challenge for me to get the courage to do a boudoir shoot. I’m proud of myself for doing it.
Q: How long had you been considering doing a shoot before you booked yours? What was the final push? What did it feel like to finally book your session?
Miss J: I had thought about doing this many times over the past couple of years but I never seriously looked into it. Then one day I decided to just go for it. I’m not getting any younger and I felt I would regret it if I didn’t
Q: Before your session, how would you describe your relationship with your body, your beauty and your sensuality?
Miss J: I can be hard on myself. I think many of us are overly critical of our bodies, but I do feel like I’m doing ok for my age. I feel confident with my partner.
Q: How did doing a session affect how you feel about your body, your beauty and your sensuality?
Miss J: I was really blown away by the results! The experience itself was very empowering. I feel sexier after seeing the pictures.
Q: What were you worried about before your session? What helped to overcome that?
Miss J: I was worried I’d be disappointed with the results. In my head I still look like I’m in my 20’s. But I told myself that at the very least it would be a new and fun experience, so what the hell!
Q: Tell me about your session day: How did you feel on your way over? What were your favorite parts? How did you feel on the way home?
Miss J: I was very nervous the day of my session, but it was an excited nervous. I enjoyed the whole experience very much. When it was over I could hardly wait to see the results.
Q: What were you feeling when you saw your photos at the viewing?
Miss J: SHOCK!
Q: Why did you decide to hire me as your photographer?
Miss J: I looked at your site and it was just what I was looking for.
Q: If your friend were considering doing a shoot, what would you say to encourage her?
Miss J: GO FOR IT! You won’t regret it!
