Stepping in FRONT of the camera – Ottawa Boudoir Photographer

Happy International Women’s Day!

As a wife, mother and entrepreneur I wear many hats. I may struggle with finding the perfect balance with life/family/work but I’m working on it. I am perfectly imperfect and I am OK with that. My body has been through a beating thanks to pregnancy, Crohn’s Disease & cancer (and countless surgeries for both and many battle scars to show for it).

I’ve photographed hundreds of women just like me and you. Each one has a different story to share, different life experiences (some good, some bad) but usually their reason to do a photoshoot is the same (whether they realize it or not). I’ve been in front of the camera too many times in order to feel the same nerves and excitement my clients do, capture where I am in that moment of time and celebrate my journey. This particular image was created by the amazing Roberta Montagnini whom I had the honour of meeting and being photographed by in Phoenix last Fall. Man, do i LOVE this woman’s work!! My jaw is STILL on the floor each time I look at this portrait. And I can’t thank you enough Roberta! xo

My point is that I can love my body the way it is and embrace the journey it has been through. My goal is to do the same for other women, whether it’s in the form of a boudoir, glamour or retro pinup session. Let go of the negative voices in your head and give yourself permission to love yourself. You’re perfect just the way you are.

My goal is to help you see yourself in a new light, to change your perspective, to help you feel SOMETHING positive: an inner awakening, an internal hug, a little pep in your step, a confident strut and a little fist pump when you realize just how beautiful YOU are. Because, trust me, you are.

It’s time to celebrate YOU! Let’s do this.
With Love, Suzanne xo
