As an Ottawa boudoir photographer, I have the privilege and pleasure of meeting many incredible women — some celebrating major milestone birthdays, others celebrating some firsts. Miss F came to je m’adore fine art portraits with the hope of giving her fiancé the most amazing and memorable wedding gift. I’m pretty sure her wish came true. What a doll and a joy to work with! Q: What’s going on in your life right now that motivated you to do a session?
Miss F: I wanted to get the photoshoot done for my husband as a wedding present. 🙂
Q: Besides beautiful photographs, what else did you hope to get out of the experience?
Miss F: Honestly I went in wanting photos only not really looking for anything else. I always wanted a professional shoot done to see what it was like. I loved every second of it!
Q: How long had you been considering doing a shoot before you booked yours? What was the final push? What did it feel like to finally book your session?
Miss F: I knew I wanted to do a boudoir shoot as a wedding gift. Once we got engaged I started looking. I booked about 2 months before our wedding and it was so exciting!
Q: Before your session, how would you describe your relationship with your body, your beauty and your sensuality?
Miss F: I am pretty open about my body and am a confident person however I never felt like photogenic. I am hard on myself always so I was unsure how my body would look in the end.
Q: How did doing a session affect how you feel about your body, your beauty and your sensuality?
Miss F: The shoot was amazing and I left feeling even more confident and impressed. I now recognize that my curves are beautiful and that my beliefs of not being photogenic were untrue.

Q: What were you worried about before your session? What helped to overcome that?
Miss F: I was worried about hitting the poses but I also have a really hard time closing my mouth so it is always open. I was worried it would look awful in the photos or give me a weird silhouette. After meeting with Suzanne and getting comfortable with her I felt confident in how the photos would turn out.
Q: Tell me about your session day: How did you feel on your way over? What were your favorite parts? How did you feel on the way home?
Miss F: On the way over I was excited and a little nervous about how the photos would ultimately turn out. During the session though you made me feel so comfortable, elegant, and romantically beautiful. The shoot was so much fun and I loved trying new things, poses, hair flips, and the outfits. I left feeling confident and super happy about myself.
Q: What were you feeling when you saw your photos at the viewing?
Miss F: I was nervous to see my photos but as soon as I saw the first few my jaw dropped. They were amazing and I loved it. I loved the way you didn’t push me to choose a certain number, how the viewing and choices were under my control, and how the photos were displayed. I thought the slideshow was awesome and how you put multiple photos of the same style together to make choosing easier.
Q: Why did you decide to hire me as your photographer?
Miss F: Honestly you were the first one to pop up on google but after meeting you and seeing how passionate you are about your work I knew I would hire you. I felt our conversation was natural, I didn’t feel intimidated, and you gave great advice and opinions during that first meeting. I also loved the examples of your work. I was so excited after that meeting!
Q: If your friend were considering doing a shoot, what would you say to encourage her?
Miss F: I have already told all my friends to do this because I loved it so much. I would tell them about your amazing service, how the shoot itself is very open, calm, and fun, and I would show them my final product which is AMAZING!!!!
